How to Fill Tires With Air Step by Step

If your car’s tire pressure is a little low, and your tires need air, then see if you can stop at a local gas station in the Waxhaw area. If you find an air station, follow these steps to ensure that your tires have the proper amount of air:

1. Pull your vehicle up next to the air center. 
2. Be sure that you pull up close enough to reach all four tires with the air hose. 
3. Take off the cap from the tire valve on your first tire. 
4. Use your tire gauge to check the tire pressure of the first tire. You can buy a tire gauge at most gas stations or the parts store here at Rock Hill Buick GMC
5. Once you have properly filled the first tire with air, put the tire back on the tire. 
6. Repeat this process with the rest of your tires. 

Keep in mind it’s also possible for your tires to overinflate as well as underinflate. When driving around Indian Land in warmer weather, your vehicle’s tires can get hot inside and expand, which can lead to overinflation. How Much Air to Put in Your Tires

• The recommended PSI is the maximum amount of air that you’re tired can hold, so be sure to put a little lower amount of air inside of your tire than what the actual recommended PSI is.
• Signs of overinflation are usually a bouncy ride and a harder drive than usual.
• Driving around with underinflated tires can lead to your tires wearing down faster than usual.
